The College of Media at the University of Warith Al-Anbyiaa Conducts a Joint Examination with the University of Thi Qar

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in support of academic quality and the exchange of expertise, the College of Media / Department of Digital Media at the University of Warith Al-Anbyiaa conducted a joint examination with its counterpart at the University of Thi Qar. This was carried out within the framework of the academic agreement between the two universities, under the supervision of the College Dean and the Head of Department. The examination process was supported by all necessary logistical and technical requirements. This included well-equipped examination halls, as well as qualified technical and administrative staff. Workshop at on the Classification of the Quality of Educational Laboratories in Accordance with the Standards of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research

The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, represented by the Laboratories Division at the University of Warith Al‑Anbiyaa, organised a workshop entitled “The Educational Laboratories Quality Classification Form” on 7 March 2026 at the University Complex in Al-Naqeeb District. The event was attended by a number of academic staff members and laboratory supervisors from across the University. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Hussein Hazim Al-Ghanimi and Engineer Baqir Mahmoud, who presented the Educational Laboratories Quality Classification Form approved by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The presenters outlined the principal standards and indicators used in evaluating laboratories within higher education institutions. The workshop also addressed the infrastructure requirements for university laboratories, laboratory safety and security systems, and mechanisms for organising work within educational laboratories. In addition, it clarified the classification of laboratories according to their function and disciplinary specialisation, with the aim of enhancing the laboratory environment and improving the efficiency of the educational process. Students of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa Participate in the 2026 Ministerial Information Bank Competition alongside 58 Iraqi Universities

Students from the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, accompanied by the Department of Student Activities, participated in the Ministerial Information Bank Competition 2026, organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority. The competition formed part of broader efforts to support student academic activities and to promote intellectual engagement among university students across Iraq. The event saw wide participation from fifty-eight public and private universities representing various governorates of Iraq. It comprised a series of competitive academic stages designed to develop students’ cognitive abilities, enhance academic culture, and foster a spirit of scholarly interaction at the national level. Launch of the Promotional Phase for the Iraqi National Entrepreneurship Day

Under the slogan “Towards an Entrepreneurial Society”, the promotional phase of the Iraqi National Entrepreneurship Day has been launched, commencing on Sunday, 15 February, in preparation for the official celebration on 4 March. The date coincides with the anniversary of the launch of the Riyada Initiative. This event aims to promote a culture of entrepreneurship among students and young people. It seeks to encourage them to develop their ideas and transform them into innovative projects that contribute to strengthening the national economy and creating sustainable employment opportunities. The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa Receives Ministerial Committee to Review Student Accommodation and Enhance the Residential Environment

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa received the ministerial committee responsible for overseeing student accommodation in universities. The visit aimed to assess the current state of university housing and to review the standard of services provided to students. The visit was conducted under the supervision of the Department of Student Accommodation Affairs within the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority. The committee met with the University’s Administrative and Academic Assistants and discussed mechanisms for developing the infrastructure of the student residences, as well as ways to enhance the quality of services offered to students. The programme included a site visit to the student accommodation building and a review of progress on the ongoing development project. The committee examined completion rates and evaluated measures to ensure the provision of a safe and suitable residential environment that supports students’ academic stability. The College of Islamic Sciences Launches the Second Edition of Its Qur’anic Project “Words of Light”

The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa has announced the launch of the second edition of its Qur’anic project, “Words of Light.” The initiative seeks to strengthen engagement with the Holy Qur’an and to promote Qur’anic culture within the university environment. It is grounded in an integrated academic and educational vision. The project is open to the University’s students, academic staff, and employees. It proceeds through several organised stages. These begin with the opening of registration, followed by the distribution of designated Qur’anic sheets to participants. The final stage involves the submission of completed written work in accordance with a specified timetable. This structure ensures orderly participation and supports the project’s educational and formative objectives. The launch of the project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In particular, it reflects Goal 4: Quality Education, through the promotion of value-based learning and the strengthening of intellectual culture. Scientific Cooperation Agreement between University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa and University of Anbar to Strengthen Research and Advance Computer Science Programs

As part of its ongoing commitment to academic openness and the expansion of scientific collaboration with Iraqi universities, the Deanship of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa has signed a joint scientific cooperation agreement with its counterpart at the University of Anbar. The agreement was signed on behalf of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa by Assistant Professor Dr. Hayder Al-Ghanimi, Dean of the College. Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman signed on behalf of the University of Anbar. The signing reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening academic partnerships and promoting the exchange of scholarly expertise. The agreement aims to promote the exchange of academic experience and the development of curricula and educational programs. It also seeks to enhance research collaboration in computer science and information technology. These efforts will support alignment with contemporary scientific developments. Warith Al-Anbiyaa University Celebrates the Receipt of a Handwritten Qur’an Manuscript Authored by Its Students and Faculty

University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa celebrated the receipt of a handwritten copy of the Holy Qur’an, to which its students, faculty members, and staff contributed. The official ceremony was held at the University’s Central Library and was attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayyawi, along with several college deans. The manuscript was received from the Imam Hussein Shrine, represented by its Manuscripts Centre. This work represents the outcome of the “Words of Light” project, which was launched more than a year ago. University members participated by writing verses of the Holy Qur’an in their own handwriting, in an academic and cultural initiative that reflected devotion to the Qur’an and highlighted the preservation of calligraphic arts and Islamic heritage. This project reflects the University’s role in supporting cultural and intellectual initiatives.
